Audience Rules & Conditions of Entry

By reserving a ticket and attending the event, you agree to the following:

Tickets & Seating
A ticket reserves admission to the event but does not guarantee a particular seat. Please arrive early to allow time for check-in and seating.

Recording & Photography
The debates may be photographed, recorded and livestreamed. By attending, you acknowledge that you may appear incidentally in photographs, video or livestream coverage of the event. These include images that are captured by invited media and attendees on social media and other avenues.

No Campaign Materials
Campaign signs, banners, flags, placards, or other campaign materials are not permitted inside or outside the venue. Please leave them at home or in your vehicle. We want to focus on the candidates not who is supporting them. Campaign literature, solicit votes or active campaigning for or against a candidate inside the venue is not permitted

Applause is Welcome — Disruption is Not
Audience members are welcome to applaud. We ask that applause not interfere with the debate or prevent candidates from being heard.

Respect the Candidates
Booing, heckling, shouting out, personal attacks or deliberately disrupting a candidate while they are speaking will not be permitted and repeated behaviour will lead to being removed from the venue. This includes but not limited to calling out questions during the debate. Questions will be asked through the established debate format and community question process.

Respect Other Attendees
Everyone attending has the right to listen to the debate regardless of which candidate they support. Harassment, intimidation, threatening behaviour or deliberately interfering with another person’s ability to participate will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave the event.

Please Follow the Moderator and Event Team
The moderator and event organizers are responsible for keeping the debate moving and ensuring the rules are applied fairly. Attendees are expected to follow reasonable instructions from event staff and volunteers.

Disruptive Behaviour
Anyone who repeatedly disrupts the debate or refuses to follow these rules will be asked to leave the venue.

Our goal is simple: everyone should be able to hear the candidates, consider their answers and make their own informed decision.
